Horoscope for the week of September 18, 2023

This week, Mercury is still moving slowly in Virgo and fresh out of its most recent retrograde. Plan on revisiting those Mercurial topics or situations which ran a little haywire these last few weeks, though this should be the end of those setbacks.

Astrological chart for the week of September 18. 2023

Venus is also still recovering from its retrograde cycle, but thankfully the worst of this transit should be well and truly behind us. And none too soon!

With the Moon waxing through the signs of Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius this week, it’s passing through some rough territory. If you’re starting any new projects, be prepared to spend extra time getting all of your ducks in a row. The space weather is still kind of a mess, with Mars unhappy in Libra, Jupiter retrograde in Taurus, and Saturn being…well, Saturn, but retrograde so it’s being extra Saturn-y.

In other news, Libra season starts this weekend, meaning pumpkin spice lattes and cute, cozy sweaters are officially sanctioned!

Anyway, below you’ll find your horoscope listed by sign. You can use your Sun sign for this, but if you know your rising sign that usually works out better. If you don’t know your rising sign, you can use Astro.com to create a chart and figure it out.

Relationship matters may prove challenging this week, especially if things have already been “tense” with a significant other. Money matters may be factor, here, and will be extra spicy if someone in the relationship has been spending significant cash on fun and games. It’s a good time to tighten your purse strings, but be careful of getting into any heated arguments with a partner. Now is not a good time for objectively evaluating your relationships.

Spending a lot of time at home, lately? If that’s doing it for you, keep it up. If you’re beginning to feel stir crazy, though, it might be a good idea to get out of the house for some fun. Intellectual or creative pursuits could be nice, but then so could something more physical like a pick-up game of basketball or some other sport. Solo activities are fine, but you should at least touch base with friends, or family members you haven’t seen in a while.

If your thoughts have been focused on home life or big, long-term financial matters, it’s time to take a break. Put out any fires which need putting out, wrap it up, and get ready to turn your attention to your work and career. There could be some frustrations and delays regarding your vocation, or your studies if you’re in school. It’s worth clearing your plate to make room for what this week might start throwing at you.

It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Don’t worry, though, it’s probably not going to be anything quite so serious. You may feel a little under the weather toward the end of the week, but by the weekend you should be well enough to connect with a partner or some friends. Have some fun, but try to keep the conversation light. Now’s not the time for “serious business.”

Take an hour or two early in the week to go over your finances, particularly your budget. This is especially important if you’ve either accrued significant debt in the last month or so, or if things have been unusually tense at work. Money matters could become challenging if you let things get away from you. This is also a good week to reflect on your long-term relationship, if you happen to be in one. Don’t necessarily make any big changes, but do get the lay of the land.

Things should finally be moving in the right direction for you this week, even if you’re still reeling from recent events. Take this week to get organized, and to shine a light on any issues which have been holding you back. Your thoughts should be especially clear, so long as you go over things in a systematic way. That means writing lists and making plans. Relationship matters might still prove challenging, though, especially if you’re in a long-distance romance. Absent a practical, workable solution to any such difficulties, it might be time for your and your partner to have a talk.

If a relationship has been first and foremost in your mind (for good or ill), that’s going to keep happening this week. Interfacing with partners, intimate or otherwise, is pretty much the theme of this week. Try to keep a cool head, focus on what matters, and push through things as best you can. There might be a new financial opportunity tied to your workplace early in the week, so that could be a pleasant distraction. So could thinking about your future, particularly your hopes and dreams, but try to keep your feet on the ground at least a little bit.

If the last week’s been a rough one, this one probably isn’t going to be much better. School or travel might be on your mind early in the week, so it could be a good time to think about long-term skill building or further education. Don’t commit to anything just yet, but definitely sit down and weigh all of your options. There will be a good opportunity to “pull the trigger” on this or some other big project in a few weeks. Right now, though? Just take things one day at a time.

If an injury, illness, or other medical matter has been troubling you, you might benefit from taking it easy this week. You don’t necessarily need to be alarmed, or anything, but it’s always a good idea to pay attention to the signals your body is sending you. Career or workplace matters should be looking up, especially if your job has been a source of headaches recently. It might even be worth your time to see if any new opportunities are available to you. These opportunities will be especially open to you if you’ve been skilling up or learning something new which you can apply to your vocation.

Education and travel should be top of your list this week, particularly if your job has felt like just one setback after another recently. It’s probably not an awesome time for a career change, but it is a good time to expand your options. Look especially to any fun or creative activity you do in your spare time, and take an evening or two early in the week to sit with the idea of turning your passion into a profession.

We all feel “stuck in a rut” sometimes. If that describes you, the good news is that things should start to shake loose soon. The bad news is that that’s unlikely to happen this week. Something new might be brewing at your workplace, but it’s too soon to tell what or wherefor. In the meantime, focus on self-care, establishing or keeping to a daily routine, and saving your energy for when you can put it to good use. It won’t be much longer.

If a long-term relationship has been in the spotlight recently, it won’t be fading into the dark any time soon. Try to keep your heart and your mind in balance, though. This is a time of extremes: either over-thinking things, or not thinking things through at all. It’s very specifically a good time to pay attention to any debt or financial intermingling you and your partner might have been ignoring or letting off the leash. If work has been somewhat challenging recently, look to see if communication problems are at the root of it. If so, it’s a good time to get together with your coworkers and set a strategy to deal with that.
