It’s a busy week for the planets.
First up, the Moon wanes through the signs of Leo, Virgo, and Libra, and finishes out the week by giving us a New Moon in Scorpio late Sunday night and early Monday morning. As with all waning Moons, this is a good time for clearing things away or letting things go. New Moons, on the other hand, are excellent opportunities to get things started.
Saturn is still moving quite slowly, having just stationed direct late last week, but those of you with a prominent Saturn in your chart are probably already seeing things “shake loose.” Most planets are considered slightly debilitated when moving slower than their average speed. Saturn, who actually is “slowness,” is the exception.
Wednesday morning, Venus changes signs, moving from Virgo to Libra. When Venus moves from the sign of its fall to the sign that it rules, expect to breathe an enormous sigh of relief–especially if Venus is particularly prominent in your chart. “Venusian” things should be much easier for all of us, but people with strong Libra and Taurus placements will feel this the most.
Very early on Friday morning, Mercury also changes signs, leaving Scorpio for Sagittarius. This Jupiter-ruled sign is one of Mercury’s signs of detriment, so expect “Mercurial matters” to be a bit more challenging. If you have important emails, purchases, or meetings to attend to, try to get them done early in the week.
Below, you’ll find your horoscope listed by sign. As always, you can use your Sun sign for this, but your rising sign usually works out better for these sorts of things. If you don’t know your rising sign, you can use Astro.com to create a chart and figure it out. Hint: it’s the sign where you find your “Ascendant.”
A long-term relationship could be in the spotlight this week, especially after Venus enters Libra. If you’re in a committed relationship, be sure to set aside some quality time late in the week (or over the weekend). This weekend could also be a good opportunity to start a new relationship, if you happen to be looking for one. Either way, connecting with other people should be high on your list.
By mid-week you might be feeling full of energy and ready to conquer anything. Personal growth, health, and your daily routine are all areas of your life where you could see real improvement, progress, or productivity. If you’ve let lots of “little things” pile up, this is a fantastic time to clear them off your to-do list. And, if you’ve been looking to start a new fitness routine or diet, get everything in place for that New Moon late Sunday night.
Some people have all the fun, and that could be you later this week. Unfortunately, there’s a very real risk of overdoing things if you’re not careful. Definitely take advantage of fun times as they present themselves, and embrace opportunities to be creative, but you should also be listening to your body and making healthy choices. If you’re in a long-term relationship, there’s a possibility of miscommunication or other “crossed wires.” Try to connect with your partner on a more emotional level, and leave the deep conversations for when you’re more clear headed.
Home life, fun, games, and creative pursuits are the big themes for this week, especially once the weekend rolls around. This is an excellent time to stay close to home, get things done around the house, and connect with your closest friends and family. It’s also an excellent time to think about your long-term plans and hopes for the future. You may even find some good opportunities to make progress on your goals, or otherwise chase down your dreams.
Matters connected to the home front might be in focus this week, and it might be hard to find easy solutions to any related problems which come up. The best tool here is going to be communication, especially during the back half of the week. If things get tense, or situations threaten to turn ugly, take a deep breath and try to get everyone on the same page. Emotional connections and communication might be more effective here than rational debate, so use “feeling” words and try to empathize with people as best you can.
This is a good week to spend your free time curled up with a book, or engaging in other quiet, solitary pursuits. Connecting with people outside of your family circle might be a bit challenging. Work or career matters, too, might offer their share of little annoyances. Don’t procrastinate, or otherwise try to shirk responsibility, but definitely give yourself as many “time outs” as you need. This is a great time to work on improving a skill or learning a new one.
If you’ve been feeling “stuck” lately, expect things to start moving forward by mid-week. Use this time to focus on yourself, look for personal growth opportunities, and make sure everything’s in order. If you’ve been struggling with financial matters, things might start turning a corner this week. This is especially likely if you’ve been staying on top of things and not overspending these last few weeks.
If you’ve been running in high gear these last few weeks, the end of this one is a great time to hit the brakes and spend time with a significant other, or otherwise connecting with other people. The weekend would be an especially good time to put “serious business” on hold and take the opportunity to socialize. If you’re not feeling up to dealing with other people, a good workout could help you reset. Try not to break the bank, though–it’s not a good time for big expenditures.
If you’ve got the energy to spend, this week could see a lot of doors opening for you regarding your hopes, dreams, and long-term goals. Look at those things in your life which might be holding you back, and consider whether or not the time has come to let them go. Think about where you want to be in the future, and commit to making patient, steady progress toward them every single day. Sometimes we have to take leaps of faith to get what we want, other times we have to discipline ourselves and take things one step at a time.
Seize the day! This is the week to reach out and grab opportunities when they present themselves. Home, family, career, creative pursuits, and dreams for the future–any and all of these areas of your life are ripe for success. If you’ve been making big plans in one or more of these areas, now’s the time to follow through. “Fine-tune” your strategy if you must, but do it as early in the week as you can. By Monday, you should be well out of the starting gate.
More than likely, your biggest challenge this week is going to be to find a way to attend to work or career matters, learning or “upskilling,” and letting off steam. You’re probably going to find yourself pulled in several different directions at once, so budgeting your time and energy is going to be very important. Give yourself time for fun, games, and creative pursuits; stick to a work schedule and “to-do list” which makes sense; and fill your remaining time with learning something new or embracing a spiritual practice. Balance is your best friend this week.
You might experience some tension between your career and a long-term relationship as the week moves on. Relationships with coworkers might also seem a bit tense. If you can connect with people on an emotional level, and make sure everyone’s feelings are respected, you should be able to smooth things over as needed. As for yourself? It’s a great time for reading, learning, or engaging in spiritual pursuits. You also might see an opportunity to earn some extra money using your unique skills or insights.
