Horoscope for the week of October 23, 2023

This week, the Moon waxes through the signs of Aquarius, Pisces, and Aries, becoming full in Taurus on Saturday. Full Moons are times of completion and fulfillment. Things begun or initiated during the last New Moon in Taurus (back around May 19th of this year) are likely to meet their conclusion.

Technically, this Full Moon is also a lunar eclipse. I say “technically” because it’s only a partial eclipse. That still means we’re likely to experience some disruption, particularly in that area of our life governed by the sign of Taurus. It’s probably not going to be anything major, but it’s worth being aware of.

Astrological chart for the week of October 23, 2023.

The week starts with the Sun moving into Scorpio to join Mercury and Mars. It’s worth taking a look at your chart to see which house Scorpio rules or falls into–that area of your life is likely to be particularly busy!

Finally, Saturn is beginning to slow down for its direct station. After having been retrograde for the summer, a forward-moving Saturn should make things a bit easier for all of us.

Below, you’ll find your horoscope listed by sign. As always, you can use your Sun sign for this, but your rising sign usually works out better for these sorts of things. If you don’t know your rising sign, you can use Astro.com to create a chart and figure it out. Hint: it’s the sign where you find your “Ascendant.”

If bills are piling up (especially medical or veterinary bills), don’t let things fester–reach out for financial assistance, or at least get in touch with your creditors to make a payment plan you can afford. On a different note, this is a good time to get in touch with your mysterious or “macabre” side. Take a tour of your local cemeteries, go on a ghost hunt, or just pull out a few tomes of forgotten lore. If you’re into the “occult” in any way, it’s a good time to brood on the mysteries.

Fun and excitement are still on the menu for you this week, just don’t forget to attend to your responsibilities, too. Time spent with an intimate partner will not be wasted, nor will get-togethers with coworkers and casual friends. It’s not a complicated week. Be safe and have fun!

If you approach your grand hopes and dreams one day at a time, you have a very good chance of achieving your goals. This might not be the week you get everything you ever wanted, but there are excellent opportunities here for you to make good progress. You’ll have to look for these opportunities, though. Think small steps, and play the game as a series of short, decisive moves. If you need a break, consider a “game night” at home.

Don’t be surprised if your thoughts and attention are bouncing back and forth between education or travel, work, and your plans for the future. It’d be easy to spend all day weighing one against the other, but you’re probably going to be too unfocused to make any constructive decisions. This is a good week to journal about your feelings, coast through your workdays as best you can, and either indulge in a creative hobby or just have some fun.

Time spent at home with close family and friends is almost never wasted. This is a good week to finish up any home improvement projects you’ve been working on. Or to put the finishing touches on those Halloween decorations. It’s also a great time for reading or deep meditation. If wanderlust is getting the best of you, though, getting out to a museum, library, or bookstore might be just the ticket. Try to find a balance between embracing your roots and expanding your horizons.

If you experience any significant miscommunications or “crossed wires” this week, take extra pains to be sure you’re really understanding other people’s thoughts and points of view. Communication is going to be at the heart of any workplace or career issues, so make sure everyone is on the same page. Be especially on the lookout for communications or conversations which are emotionally-charged, and try to handle things as diplomatically as possible.

Finances will probably be your biggest limiting factor this week, unless you’ve been very good with your money and investments. If this situation has you feeling boxed in, seek escapism by hitting up the library, taking some long walks, or finding other ways to “break free” without costing a lot. If things are good financially, well…keep it up, then!

This could be an especially busy week for you, so get ready. Things aren’t going to be all bad, but your attention is likely to have a lot of demands placed on it. As long as you stay organized, work through things in a systematic way, and can keep tempers from flaring you should be able to get through the week not only unscathed, but filled with positive energy. If you let things slide or get away from you, though? Watch out. This week, that sort of thing can turn ugly really fast.

Take this week to regroup. You’re more apt to hit brick walls than open roads, so just roll with things as best you can. This is particularly true for matters concerning your career, education, travel, and relationships. Make sure you aren’t neglecting anything on your end, document whatever needs documenting to cover your…bum, then move on to the next situation. Some days you just have to walk up-hill both ways.

Next week, Saturn stations direct. Once your ruling planet gets moving in the right direction, expect opportunities to start flowing like water pouring from a tap. Until then, take whatever time you can to get all of your ducks in a row. Potential energy has been building up around your long-term hopes, wishes, and dreams. Go over your plans, solidify them, and get ready for “go-time.” The next few weeks can be huge if you’re properly prepared.

This week and the next two could present you with tremendous opportunities for work and career advancement. Things might not get going full steam until next week, but the energies are certainly there. Use this week to brainstorm, do all of the “outside-the-box” thinking you can, and be ready to act when you see an opening. If you can channel your energy and enthusiasm into well-reasoned messaging or communication, people will definitely “get the memo.”

Take this week to focus on yourself. Meditate, go for a long walk, attend a class or two, or even just chill with a good book or three. This will be especially helpful if the last few weeks have been particularly challenging. If you’re in a long-term, stable, and supportive relationship, include your partner on a special outing. Just make sure that you’re taking care of yourself.
